The Broilers Chikens

There are several types of broiler chickens, the best known of which are the Cobb 500, Ross 308, black naked neck, red naked neck. The weight of the chickens after fattening varies between 1 and 3 kg. The Cobb 500 can go up to 5 kg.
Chicks for breeding are produced in industrial hatcheries that hatch thousands of eggs per day. We buy our day-old chicks from suppliers and transport them to our farms.

Breeding can last between 28 to 35 days to reach the age of consumption. For a better quality of our chickens we are required to start their sales only from 35 days with a minimum weight of 1.8 kg. Breeding is done in buildings. They are rigorously monitored from their arrival until their sale, respecting the breeding process implemented atTHE ELIEL FARM. 

Given their fragility, broiler chickens are allergic to the dirt in their environment, the non-respect of which leads to a significant number of deaths during breeding. Our breeding process at THE ELIEL FARM allows us to respect the most basic conditions of their growth: moving, eating, perching, resting, stretching/flapping their wings, etc. We avoid crowding them, which sometimes leads to suffocation, which causes difficult living conditions and sometimes cascading deaths. After 35 days, the chickens are considered mature enough for their slaughter to begin. This life expectancy in breeding continues to decrease, and chickens intended for sale are killed even younger. This option is not considered by THE ELIEL FARM
